Neck Biting and Hair Licking
As you're probably aware, Twilight came out on Friday (or Thursday night, for the Twi-hards). While I haven't seen it yet, I have a legit celebrity crush on Robert Pattinson, so I've been paying some attention to the media tour he's has been making--what he describes as "planned mobbings." Basically, he's been going on talk shows, radio shows, visiting malls, and just generally being asked to look pretty while teenage girls scream at him. Apparently one event was postponed after a near-riot occurred, and one fan broke her nose in the crush.
There have been a few memorable moments. One was his appearance on the Tyra Banks show, where he finally gave Tyra what girls have been asking him for all along-- a bite on the neck. I also liked when he went on Ellen, and she gave him a pair of "Bite Me" boxers.
My favorite moment, though? When an interviewer in Chicago asked him how he styles his hair (which has become an unintentional trademark of his). Interviewers always asked him this, by the way. Normally he tells them he just never washes it, but this time he came up with a slightly more inventive answer:
"I get twelve-year-old virgins to lick it."
Cue screaming/fainting of all the twelve-year-old virgins in the audience--which was probably about 90% of the people there.
Too funny! I actually think he's pretty hot in a waaaaay-too-young-for-me
way. I liked him as Cedric Diggory.
Luckily, he's not too young for me... as he's actually a couple years older
;). But the actor who plays Jacob--Taylor Lautner; you could sort of see
him in the clip from Tyra--is only 16. I personally don't see it, but I
know a lot of people who think he's so hot. I generally have to remind
them that he's underage.
I started feeling really old there for a second, Jane ;)
